    Dave Kasten was the recipient of one of the McCone County Hero quilts. Dave enlisted in the Army December 1959 and was discharged January 1966. He was sent to Fort Ord, California for basic training and then went on from there to Fort Gordon, Georgia to the Military Police Academy.
