The Circle Banner - Anyone can love the mountains, but it takes a soul to love the pairie

I don't have an office so I have decided to start doing some bookkeeping and paperwork just hanging "Round Town." So, I may show up at a local business and just meander around asking questions getting to know all of the different businesses and products our little "Circle" has to offer. This particular day, I wandered into the Roundpen and interviewed the young multi-business establishment owner (article to follow). A handsome couple came in and ordered some coffee. The lady went to use the restroom and as we talked, I noticed an accent and being, well, nosy, I asked where his accent was from. "Turkey," was his reply. I asked how in the world did they end up in Circle, Montana at the Roundpen on a Tuesday afternoon, and he laughed. He told me they were driving to Canada. I then asked if he thought they would like to be an article in the local newspaper and he laughed again. His traveling companion, Joan Schaefer, then walked up and he asked her if she wanted to be interviewed for the local paper. It's not everyday someone from Turkey drives through town or stops for that matter. His name was Serif Terziler and he came from Turkey. His wife, Joan, was not Turkish. They met on a cruise ship. She had taken her mother and father on a cruise, and she met the charming and funny Serif. They have been together since 2005. They were traveling with 3 German Shepherd dogs in the vehicle with them. I wanted to know, of course, what was taking them to Canada. They were going for a trade show for Joan's work, I believe, for an architectural product. Joan gave me her business card (VELUX Commercial Business Development), described her work as an finding architecture to compliment the business or school. We took some pictures and laughed a lot. Dharlyne asked how they ended up off the main road at her shop. Google led them to her door. It is so fun meeting new people.
