The Circle Banner - Anyone can love the mountains, but it takes a soul to love the pairie

The 2024 Circle Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture held their annual banquet on Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at the CCM Banquet Room.

The event was sold out, however a few folks were unable to attend which made attendance approximately 235. The evening started off with Happy ½ Hour, with beverages being served by the Corner Bar. At 6:00 PM a prime rib dinner was served buffet style by the staff of Circle Country Market, it was a delicious meal followed by tarts for dessert made by Amanda Hove. We had a great fundraising auction with 46 items contributed by our membership. Nick Shriver did the auctioneering and together with the wonderful crowd in attendance we were able to raise $18,225.00 of which $9,225 was donated to the Circle Cinema. Our Entertainment this year was Bob Cates, from Canada. Mid-Rivers Communications was kind enough to help pay for Bob Cates' fee so that we could bring the great entertainment to the banquet. He entertained our crowd with comedy, juggling and crowd interaction. After the entertainment, some of the crowd retired, however a great number of folks stayed around and danced to music by Mountain Country Band, closing up at last call. Thank you to everyone in our community who supported this event by organizing, contributing, attending, and bidding in the auction. We are looking forward to another great banquet the last Saturday of January 2025.
