Jason Heitz is a 1987 graduate of Circle High School. Jason left for college in Willison, ND, and after the first year, he transferred to Eastern Montana College (MSU-Billings). Jason wears many hats. He is big brother to Shay. He has been working construction for Prince for 29 years to which I said, "That can't be right, you're not that old", with a winking emoji. His new hat is co-owner of Kava Root on Broadwater in Billings (right next to Broadwater Quick stop and Dino). I asked Jason how he became involved in the Kava Franchise. He said he was introduced to his partner by his best high school friend. He liked the gentleman and loved the vision they had for expanding the franchise. He also became interested in the kava root and its various health benefits. I, of course, had to google kava root for my readers:

9 Surprising Benefits of Kava Root by John Staughton (BASc, BFA) last updated - July 02, 2020

The most important health benefits of kava root includes its ability to reduce anxiety, help in weight loss goals, prevent premature aging, help quit smoking, reduce menopause symptoms, aid sleep, relax muscles, prevent headaches, and protect the kidneys.

What is Kava Root?

The kava plant is well-known throughout the world as a medicinal remedy, one of the rare plants that don't actually have non-medicinal uses, such as a food source. The scientific name of this useful plant is Piper methysticum, [1] and it is also commonly called kava-kava. It can help with pain relief and muscle spasms, sleep aid, anxiety aid, headache prevention, improve kidney health, menopause issues, weight loos goals, prevent premature aging, and aid in stopping smoking addiction.

Jason's biggest challenge in life so far has been the loss of his Grandma in 2017, "She was like a parent , mentor , counselor, best friend, and partner in crime. I was very close to her, and there is not a day that passes, that I don't miss her." Jason prefers an orange, as long as he can talk someone into peeling it for him. Jason's favorite quote is "The leopard can easily hide his/her spots, but underneath it all, he/she will always be the same leopard." If he could talk to anyone dead or alive, he would speak with Henry Sutton. He says he always respected Mr. Sutton's wisdom and compassion. Jason tells me the funniest thig that has happened to him thus far in life was as a child he was being "bad, probably picking on Shay" and his mother came to spank him with the paddle, and he quickly stuffed socks in the seat of his pants before the spanking started. This story reminds me of Jason when they were rebuilding our house. Jason was working for McCabe construction and thought it would be funny to put sheetrock chunks in Dads boots. Dad got the biggest kick out of that. He brought that up occasionally over years. So when in Billings, make sure to drive up Broadwater to visit some small town, big city business owners. Shay and Jason Heitz, Broadwater Ave, Billings, MT, is lucky to have you!!
