Car seats and booster seats for children have been proven to save lives in vehicle accidents but choosing the right type of car seat for your child's age and size and properly installing the seats in the vehicle plays an important role in improving their safety during a crash. According to the National Highway Safety Administration's website, 325 children are saved by car seats each year, but it also shares a less desirable statistic: 46% of all car seats and booster seats are used incorrectly.
