Rev. Anderson of Glendive held services here Sunday afternoon. It was announced that services will be held August 22nd at 7:30 that evening. Everyone cordially invited.

ROLANDSON BROS.TO BUILD NEW ADDITION

Rolandson Implements have this week started work on an addition to their place of business.

The new addition to built along-40x90 feet, with an extension at Footings are being poured this week. New addition is to be built of Scorio blocks, manufactured at Miles City. The new addition will serve as a show room & work shop for John Deere line of implements.

COOLIDGE BECOMES 30TH PRESIDENT

Took Oath as President of United a. m. August 3rd.1923

Calvin Cooldge took the oath as president of the United; States at Plymouth,Vt., at 2:47 a. m.Aug.3rd.

The new president was sworn in by his father, who is a notary public, and at whose home he was visiting. The text of the pledge as prescribed by the constitution was telephoned to him ly the White House.

LOCAL

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Koppenofer of Matamona, Illinois, came to visit her parents, Virginia and LaVerne Logan. They brought Djlama Lima, an Exchange student from Brazil, with them. From here Virginia accompanied them on a visit to the rest of the family. They were in Great Falls at the LeRoy Logan home on to Moscow, Idaho where Laraine and family live.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hofland returned from a vacation tripto Minnesota and Iowa.

The Leo Schillingers,Ed and Helen Schillinger, Janet, Joann, Patsy and Eileen Loendorf attended Friday evening Legion toumament games in Scobey.

Newell Beery was a patient in Trinity hospital last week.

Supper guests at Jerry Mei-ssners Friday for Jodi's 3r birth-day were the Bill and Billy Meissner families. Julie and Vickie spent Friday and Sat-urday night with Jodi.

Stan and Kate Robbins and Bill and Edna Meissner enjoyed an overnight fishing trip at Nelson Creek Saturday.

MET WITH ARCHITECT

The school trustees of District 1 met with Wayne Gustafson,of Drake,Gustafson & Associates of Billings, Monday, August 6.

The board instructed the firm to proceed with building plans for the new elementary school as soon as possible, They also decided to use an electric heat-ing system in the plant.

Discussion was held on bidding the structure although bids won't be let until plans are finalized. Both a base bid and an alternate bid will probably be asked. That is, one bid for the round building and one for the round building and the multi-purpose room.
