Harvest is in full swing around the county. There have been some beautiful crops harvested this year since, for a change, there was abundant moisture. There also was an abundance of grasshoppers doing damage. Ranchers have been putting up hay and are now busy transporting bales to stacks to feed those cattle this winter. Cattle producers are somewhat optimistic about the markets these days while wheat growers have watched prices tumble. It's a busy time of the year for farmers and ranchers and more work to do than there are hours in the day, it seems. Be careful out there!
