Mrs.Ben Langton took Mrs Ethel Keeland and daughter to Glendive last Wednesday on a business mission. Henry Guldborg has been very busy the past week setting up his new M. M. combine which Ole Olson of Circle delivered here some time ago.

Miss Dorothy Allen and mother were shopping here Wednesday from Duck Creek. Miss Allen recently completed her nurses Aid training at Miles City hospital. Robert Schmidt and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Sept of Watkins community were business callers here last Wednesday.

WILBUR LARSON TO ATTEND BOYS STATE CAMP

Wilbur Larson, of Watkins, has been named principal and Harr James (Pat) Murphy, of Circle, al ternate for representation of Mc Cone county at the Montana American Legion's second annual Boys State August 15-24 at the Montana State Normal college campus in Dillion

ROLANDSON'S RETURN

Mrs. and Mrs. M. C. Rolandson and son Layne have returned home from a 3000 mile motor vacation trip. They first went to Oakley, Minnesota where they attended a Silver wedding anniversary of his brother, Knute Rolandson. Then at St. Paul they visited a sister of Mrs. Rolandson, Mrs. Satterberg, whom she had not seen for 25 years. They then journeyed on to the Black Hills and Yellowstone Park and also visited Salt Lake City.

FATHER AND SON PASS AWAY

Again one of our pioneer residents has been called by death and this time it was Emil Ferch who received the final sumons. Mr. Ferch passed away at the farmily home here on Saturday evening the 10th.

Mr. Ferch had been ill fr some time, and four years ago lost his sight, so to heard his passing was a source of relief.

Deceased was a man who had many friends, and worked hard to develop the old homestead on McCone & provide for his large family of five sons and five daughters.

Deceased was born at Fall Cr. Wis-consin, July 3, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ferch. He grew to manhood, and received his education in Fall Creek. On Jan. 1, 1899 at Fall Creek,he married Anna Pauline Mueller.

In 1900 they moved to Lindsay, Montana. They lived there until 1914, when they moved to the Circle com-munity, where they homesteaded 14 miles south east of Circle. Mr. Ferch has since resided in the Circle com-munity until the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing: His wife: Mrs. Anna Ferch; 5 daughters, Mrs. Emma Overland of Sagle, Idaho,Mrs. Francis Rorvik of Ronan, Montana, Mrs.Iona Stover,Mrs.Dora Dennis, and Mrs. Evelyn Holben of Circle,Montana:5 Eons,Carl of Rupert, Idabio, Myron of Viola, Idaho, Irvin,Garold, and Warren of Circle, Montana; 30 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from First Lutheran church on Wednesday afternoon with the Rev.R. A. Saethre officiating. Intenment took place at Riverside Cemeter.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weed and Mrs. Ida Rasmusson of Portland were visiting Viola Nagel last week. Ida is an Aunt to Viola. While branding calves some-time back, Marvin Pawlowski injured a knee and is now getting around on crutches. Gail Knutson of Helena spent the past week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Art, Rolandson. She came for the '63 Class Reunion. Elsie Zahn returned recently from a vacation spent at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho visiting her daughter Barbara. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Coughlan of Seattle met the Gordon Waller family and Pat McCann in Wolf Point Sunday and all attended the Stampede. Coughlans are spending the week with Gordy and Helen.

Dale and Edith Lancaster of Baldwin, Missouri are visiting his grand mother Mrs. Volla been at several places en route including LasVegas, Portland and Glacier Park. Mrs. Westrum is enjoying having her sister Ida Rasmusson of Portland with her. She visited relatives in Glendive also. Saturday afternoon the ladies and Milford Sampson, a nephew, viewed the Museum and had a good visit with Mrs. Reinemer about Old Times.

DannieLee Holben and family of Colfax, California have been visiting his aunt, Ione Stover. Ione is recuperating slowly from her illness.

Daryl and Nora Scheer, Jessica and Kazia took camper and boat to the marina at Fort Peck Lake to spend their vacation from Thursday time,taking dips in the water,going boating was rather pleasant as the breeze wasn't so hot coming off the water. On Sunday afternoon a Mid-Rivers picnic saw several employees and former employees gathering in the swimming pool park in Glendive. Although the temperature was high, the shelter was open and not too oppressive. a.m.bringing wonderful food for the potluck dinner at noon. Old times were discussed and as the "old" employees hashed over the incidents when the co-op first began,there was lots of laughter.
