Memorial Day as seen thru pictures. There are so many beautiful pictures that show the patriotic and proud community we live in. We have many Veterans to thank that live just next door. It's unfortunate they are not honored more. They sacrificed their freedom and personal life to protect those freedoms for us. The McCone County Health had a Flag Ceremony. The pictures from Brockway Cemetery, Circle Cemetery and the beautiful program at the VFW #4813 hall with guest speaker Guest Speaker: Eric Rydbom, LT. Col. US Army EM Retired. Whose Awards: Bronze Star Medal, (3) Merits Service Medals, (4) Army Commendation Medals, (3) Army Achievement Medals, Global War on Terrorism Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Ribbon, Various service and State Ribbons, are quite impressive. Music was led by Lela Sigmunstad. Prayers led by Jerry Meissner. Officers of our VFW #4813 are: Officers: Post Commander: Conrad Moline; Auxiliary President: June Nelson; Officer of the Day: Cal Hogan; Chaplain: Jerry Meissner. Jay Richardson took some amazing pictures and took the time to explain one picture, the picture of the empty cabinets in the front of the Hall. He said, "they are here" and showed me the breathtaking picture of the flags of glory flying. I am sure there all kinds of stories we should all know about the cost our freedom has taken on so many soldiers, families, and communities. It was a struggle to pic pictures for this issue as I had so many that were spectacular. McCone County you make me proud. To all the Veterans, . and active soldiers, THANK YOU!!
