Gramma's Grill

Gramma's Grill, well the wait is over. Wanda Robinette had officially opened Gramma's Grill. Wanda, after a lot of pestering agreed to an interview. Wanda, a life-long resident of Circle has always enjoyed "concessions". She has worked the PRCA Rodeo concession where she stated they fed 900+ hungry cowpokes. Wanda is no stranger to food service she started at the Tastee Freeze in Circle, then on too Schmidt's café. Wanda married Rick Robinette and together, they have 3 kids, and 9 grandkids and 3 bonus grandkids. Wanda retired 3 years ago from Farm Bureau Insurance. She wanted to add something to Circle that they were missing ...... ICE CREAM. She travelled to ND, WY, ID and all over MT searching for a trailer or small building on skids to move to the lot across from Circle Country Market. She found her current trailer in ID Marketplace. Drove 1200 miles to look at it and bring it home and gut it and made it into Gramma's Grill. I asked Wanda about her hours of operation. They will be open 3pm until 9pm M-S, Sunday 11Am-9PM, and not during lunch throughout work week, as there are many choices in town now and she does not want to step on any toes. I asked where she got the idea for the logo and she gives credit to Brian Murphy, of Murphy Works. Wanda at the time of our interview had 9 employees trained and ready to hit the Grill running. 2 people will work in the trailer per shift, to serve Circle the good 'ole Soft Serve ice cream we have been waiting for. Wanda stated that her sister, Brenda will be her right hand (as they are open 7 days a week). When she was still incubating the idea, she thought her biggest obstacles would be finding help and going to the lake. Those obstacles are nonexistent with her 9 employees and her right hand, Brenda, she should still be able to see the water. I asked Wanda who she thinks is her biggest inspiration, she said "is it weird to say myself. I find inspiration in myself". I find that awesome! She wanted the readers to watch for the neon open sign. "No grand opening, just turn the sign on and go". Her motto is "fast food, soft serve ice cream" She shared that she has a specialty burger the Big Town Burger, which was inspired by the past. She also has ice cream nachos, which are a sugar waffle cone chip with chocolate dipping sauce. She has plans for community area and she has a state-of-the-art pager system, so when they are busy you can go wait in car or community area until order is ready. I of course asked Wanda if she preferred an apple over an orange. She laughed and said she had been waiting to answer that. She said, "I prefer soft serve ice cream!" Well don't we all!! Wishing Gramma's Grill all the success!! Good Luck Gramma!!
