28 Graduate

Twenty-eight Seniors of the Class of 1948 of Circle High School received their diplomas at Commencement Exercises held here last evening (Thursday).

The following program was pre-sented: Invocation Rev. Birdsall Salutatory Address Kathleen Gappa "Withcut a Song" by V. Youman's.Miss Grace Godley Valedictory Address Nonman Brown Supt. Warren F. Thompson then introduced O. E. Gullidge of the State Dept. of Education who spoke on "This World of Ours". A Senior Girls quartette sang "Sylvia" by Oley Speaks. Members of the quartette were: Katherine Haynie, Lauriena LeMieux,Kathleen Gappa, and Vera Wolf. Presentation of Scholarships was made by Mr. Thompson, and a list of these will be given next week. Presentation of Diplomas was made by M.H. Gappa, Chairman of the Board of Education.

65 PLANES AT ROCK CREEK FISH FRY

The Lulhaven camp on Rcck creek Fort Peck Lake,was the scene of a big Fish Fry last Sunday. It was an annual event of the Glendive hangar of the Montana Pilots Assn. About 65 planes "flew in" Sunday moring frommost ail sections of eastern Mon-tana. Other visitors came by car and nearly two hundred people were treated to a fish fry. Pilots caire from as far as Livingston and one from Huron, So. Dakota.

Ben Sowle, Roland Pogue, Henry Meissner, Jimmy George and Johnie Lane were at Sheep Mountain Hall, Monday getting everything in readiness for their big commercial club dance this Saturday evening,

Locals

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ostrom, Fargo,N. Dak., and Mrs. Bruce Bogar and Colette,Billings were houseguests of the Wally Myhres over the weekend and attended gradu ation exercises. Mr. and Mrs.Lyle Myhre,Glasgow,Mt. were visitors on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs.Herbert Wester-hoff of Livermore,Calif.,were visiting friends in the Circle area last week.

Pete and Nubby Larson and child-ren Jeff,Mindy and Will James are visiting the parental Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ehli home and the Kent Larsons.

Winners of the door prizes given at the baseball benefit dance were Dr. R.J. Manion, baseball bat;Alice Hamman, a saw;and Wayne Pawlowski,baseb all glove.

Mr. and Mrs. Gracen Bruski of Wibaux attended the gradua-tion exercises Monday of their grandson,Clayton Berger.

Jo McClelland of Port Huron, Michig an is visiting at the Dick Rolandson home.Hazel Roland-son of Billings is also a visitor. Both ladies came especially for the graduation exercises of their grandchildren, Angie and Kenny Rolandson
