TWO CENT GAS TAX IN EFFECT SINCE APRIL 1

The state tax of two cents a gallon on gasoline sales, provided by the law passed by the last legislature, went into effect April 1, supplanting the one cent a gallon tax which had been in effect since January 1, 1921.
