Circle Chamber Minutes

The April Meeting of the Circle Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture was held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Circle Sr. Center card room. There were 8 members present.

Community Garage Sale Day will be held on Saturday, June 3rd. There is no cost to have your sale listed on the map, but you must contact Jana Hance by Wednesday, May 31st to have your listing on the map. There will be no late additions this year as I will be out of the office. Maps will be printed on the 31st. The library will be where you will purchase the map, cost will be $1.00 and the funds raised from the map sales will go to the library.

There was discussion on when to have a community garbage pick up day. No date has been set at this time. More to come after the May meeting.

Fireworks will be on Tuesday, July 4th at Circle City Park (weather permitting). There has been discussion for making this a bigger event with games and possibly food trucks earlier in the evening. If there is any interest in hosting food trucks/ BBQ, or games for this event, contact Frank Kasten. Contributions toward the fireworks show can be made to the Circle Chamber, and there will collection buckets at various businesses around Memorial Day.

Christmas in July plans are underway. This year Christmas in July will be Friday, July 21st, main activities will take place on the 300 block of main street. This would be a great day for fundraisers, vendors, food trucks or a BBQ and games.

The Circle Chamber of Commerce is managing the Commercial Building at the McCone County Fair again this year. There will be no fee for Circle Chamber members to have booth. If you are not currently a member of the Chamber, dues are $50.00 and that will be the fee for having a booth. Watch for possible changes in the times that the building will be open.

Debbie Mahn, McCone County Prevention specialist was present at the meeting. She informed us that her stint as Preventions Specialist is coming to an end. She is looking for someone to fill the position. This is roughly 20 hours per week and pays $17-19 per hour. Itineraries have been made for Circle/McCone County events throughout November.
