At the hour of 10:00 a.m., the Board of Commissioners of McCone County, Montana, met in regular session with Alan Stempel, Ty Taylor, and Lonny Jensen present. Presiding Officer Alan Stempel called the meeting to order. The pledge of allegiance was recited. The agenda was approved.

The February 27, 2023 minutes were approved as amended.

Commissioner Jensen reported on the Health Center Board meeting he attended, in Circle, on February 28, 2023.

Allen Rosaaen, South Road Foreman, met with the Board to discuss road signs, personnel issues, snow removal, vehicle repairs, and time sheets. The Board approved sending 4 Road crew workers to a one day welding class. The Board approved the purchase of road signs for approximately $2,000.

The Board reviewed and approved the payroll for the month of February, 2023. Voucher #9 for warrants #83355 through #83357 was issued in the amount of $2,485.56. Voucher #1028 for automatic deposits in the amount of $92,495.23 for a total payroll of $94,980.79 was reviewed and approved. (Copies of the voucher and payroll register are on file in the Commissioners' files.)

Payroll Deduction Voucher #1029 for warrant #83358 and #83359 in the amount of $26,212.68 was reviewed and approved. (A copy of the voucher is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The Board reviewed and approved timesheets for February, 2023 for the employees and department heads under the supervision of the County Commissioners.

The officers' reports for February, 2023 were reviewed and approved for the Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Justice Court, and Clerk and Recorder. (Copies of the reports are on file in the Commissioners' files.)

Paul Skyberg, Sheriff, met with the Board to discuss Law Enforcement issues.

The meeting was opened to public participation at 1:00 p.m.

Sherry Kluth, Clerk and Recorder, met with the Board to discuss personnel issues, and courthouse issues.

Brian Nofzger, Predator Control, met with the Board to discuss predator control methods and issues.

Jim Moos met with the Board to discuss Museum, Fuel Tax Road and Dry Redwater Rural Water Authority issues.

The Board reviewed and approved county claims for the month of February, 2023. Voucher #1030 for the amount of $81,474.33 was signed at this time. (A copy of the claim register and voucher is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The Board reviewed the Montana Department of Transportation Fuel Tax Mileage Map for 2023. Commissioner Taylor moved to approve the Fuel Tax Mileage Map and Commissioner Jensen seconded. The motion passed 3-0. (A copy of the map is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

Suzette Wagner, Maintenance, met with the Board to discuss building repairs, and electrical work in the county buildings.

Joe Juliano, Under Sheriff, and Deputy Trevor Derksen met with the Board to discuss Law Enforcement issues.

Correspondence occupied the Board the remainder of the day.

The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
