As we approach the Easter weekend, we must understand that it is not just a spring break. It is a remembrance of what Jesus Christ did for all of sinful mankind by dying on a cross. Some 700 years before Christ was born, the prophet explained in Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
