Dale Heide and Leo Jensen were callers at the Charles Maves home Wednesday. BROCKWAY Mr. and Mrs. Otto Spidel returned to their home in Brockway after spending several weeks in St Ignatius. CIRCLE NEWS Lonny Jensen was among the seniors who left from Circle on Sunday to attend the state legislature in session at Helena. While nothing authentic has been given out, rumors continue to spread. Railroad talk about the construction of the Great Northern railway through here continues to be the popular pastime, and of course to the thousands of residents throughout this section , is a very vital subject to discuss.

BROCKWAY BANK CLOSES

The First State Bank of Brockway closed its doors and ceased doing business last Tuesday evening. The is the second time the bank has been compelled to close, owing to the trying times this section is going through. It is not known at present whether the bank will endeavor to reopen or not.

INFLUENZA GERM ISOLATED

Rockefeller Institute Announces that the origin of disease has been traced. It is learned that the germ lodges in the nose and throat during the first 36 hours of influenzas infection, then attacks the lungs in such a way as to make them susceptible to other germs in the nose and throat, notably pneumonia and bronchitis.

PROPOSES WHEAT GUARATEE $1.75 on NO. 1 NORTHERN

Washington, Feb 5-A government guarantee of wheat prices based on $1.75 per bushel for No 1 northern was proposed in a bill today.

Margaret and Marjory are each sporting a pair of new rubbers. Trying to attract our attention to their small feet, eh?

Many of the girls are getting their hair bobbed again. An unusual quietness and serenity is noticeable this week. This was unexplainable till we happened to discover that Eula had lost her voice. We should judge that this is some week of torture to her, but think of the torture we will endure when her speech is regained.

It is "roomered" the Mr. Wright our popular grade instructor, has recently changed the abode from the Gladstone to the McCann rooming House.

THE STATE

Butte: Claiming she married David J Williams while she was intoxicated. Mrs. Williams has started action in the district court for the annulment of the marriage. Miss Mae Hallberg, 20 after an all night party with a number of young people, committed suicide by taking poison.

Bail was refused to Harry Allen after information had been filed against him, charging murder in the first degree. He is alleged to have shot and killed Fred Greenbeck.

Students from neighboring towns who are flying are: Harley Berry, Raymond Dalatta, Aldo Wolf from Brockway; Orian Cusker, Fred Massar, Herb Sukut, Robert Fillenworth, Dale Pawlowski and Reubin Vogele from Circle; Lynn Chaska, Russel Douglas, and Kenneth Jandt from Beach; Henry Gossen, Donald Kirsch and HJohn Loewen from Richey. Phillip Murphy from Brockway is the proud owner of a new Aeronca Chief.

18 SHEEP KILLED ON HIGHWAY

Eighteen head of sheep were killed on the Circle-Wolf Point Highway No.13, just a couple miles north of town on Wednesday. It seems Chas Kassner had sold 450 head of sheep to a party from Miles City and Albert Limesand was trailing the bunch to town for shipment. A passenger car driven by a party from Glasgow ran into the band of sheep and 11 head were killed outright with 7 more injured and dying later. The front of the car was wrecked, but no one was injured.

Miss Doline Breitbach, daughter of Mr and MRs J.P. Breitbach, Circle, was one of eleven student nurses of Columbus School of Nursing who distinguished themselves for scholarships.

COUNTY NEWS

John Sukut Sr of the Watkins community and who who has made his home in Circle for the past year was in Terry last week where he purchased a new home on south Logan Avenue.

Last Saturday Mrs. Marie Goodale's car of Circle driven by her sister, ran into Otto Spidel's car. Considerable damge3 was done to both cars.
