At the hour of 10:00 a.m., the Board of Commissioners of McCone County, Montana, met in regular session with Alan Stempel, Ty Taylor, and Lonny Jensen present. Acting Presiding Officer Alan Stempel called the meeting to order. The pledge of allegiance was recited. The agenda was approved.

The December 27, 2022 minutes were approved as read.

Commissioner Taylor moved to appoint Commissioner Stempel as Presiding Officer for 2023. Commissioner Jensen seconded the motion and the motion passed 3-0. (A copy of the

resolution is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The Board reviewed and approved the payroll for the month of December, 2022. Voucher #6 for warrants #83343 through #83346 was issued in the amount of $4,173.29. Voucher #1020 for automatic deposits in the amount of $98,359.08 for a total payroll of $102,532.37 was reviewed and approved. (Copies of the voucher and payroll register are on file in the Commissioners' files.)

Payroll Deduction Voucher #1021 for warrant #83347 through 83349 in the amount of $30,494.21 was reviewed and approved. (A copy of the voucher is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The Board reviewed and approved timesheets for December, 2022 for the employees and department heads under the supervision of the County Commissioners.

The officers' reports for December, 2022 were reviewed and approved for the Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Justice Court, and Clerk and Recorder. (Copies of the reports are on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The meeting was opened to public participation at 1:00 p.m.

The Board went into Closed Session at 1 p.m.

The Board returned to Open Session at 1:20 p.m.

The first readings of resolutions for 2023 were held for the reorganization of the Board, and setting the meeting days for the Board of Commissioners for 2023. The second readings of the resolutions for 2023 will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023. (Copies of the draft resolutions are on file in the Commissioners' files.)

The Board reviewed the purchase order for two road graders with warranty from RDO Equipment for $705,700. Commissioner Taylor moved to approve the purchase order and Commissioner Jensen seconded. The motion passed 3-0. (A copy of the purchase order is on file in the Commissioners' files.)

Allen Rosaaen, South Road Foreman, met with the Board to discuss road improvements, the new road grader, and snow removal issues. The Board approved the purchase of a pallet of DEF for approximately $1,300 which will be used at both shops. The Board approved the repair for a snow plow truck for approximately $1,500. The Board approved the purchase of tire chains for the front end loader for approximately $2,000.

Correspondence occupied the Board the remainder of the day.

The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
